SalmonEye AI
Team project for APS112

Website interface for promoting the salmon run.
Project Details
Dr. Jessica Ferraro, a representative of the City of Toronto, tasked our team with promoting salmon runs in the city. She wants to allow the public to watch the event virtually and to inform them of ideal watching time. Edward Wu, Swarnava Ghosh, Laura Lin, Kyle Sabado, Lulin Gong and I saw to make this possible. Our team designed an object detection model that detects jumping salmon. Then using the data collected, a time series regression algorithm forecasts when the salmon will run. The run itself will be live broadcasted to the public with a strategically placed camera. Everything is then hosted on a website for everyone to view.
